About Capstone Turbine Corporation (Our Principals)

Capstone Turbine Corporation (www.capstoneturbine.com) (Nasdaq:CPST) is the world's leading producer of low-emission MicroTurbine systems, and was the first to market commercially viable MicroTurbine energy products. Capstone Turbine has shipped over 5,000 Capstone MicroTurbine(R) systems to customers worldwide. These award-winning systems have logged millions of documented runtime operating hours. Capstone Turbine is a member of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Combined Heat and Power Partnership, which is committed to improving the efficiency of the nation's energy infrastructure and reducing emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases. A UL-Certified ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certified companies; Capstone is headquartered in Chatsworth in the Los Angeles area with sales and/or service centers in the New York metro area, Mexico City, Nottingham, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo.

About MicroTurbine (Our Product)

Through product excellence, Capstone has achieved a predominant leadership position in MicroTurbines worldwide. Capstone MicroTurbines are small gas turbines for production of power (and heating or cooling if needed), which come in ratings between 30 KW to 1000 KW.

Unique features of Capstone MicroTurbine

Capstone MicroTurbines have got many unique advantages, some of which are:

1.       They offer eight “9”s of reliability (Availability Factor of 99.999999%)- one of the highest in the industry.

2.       They run in a completely “dry” mode – neither lube oil nor coolants are needed at all.

3.       There is only one moving part, therefore, the maintenance requirement is minimal – they can easily be installed in remote, un-manned environments.

4.       They can be designed to run on different fuels- liquid fuels such as diesel, kerosene, etc or gases such LNG, propane or biogas.

5.       They are virtually vibration free and do not need any elaborate foundations.

6.       They can be installed indoors or outdoors – no separate power house is needed.

7.       They have one of the lowest noise levels and emission levels in the industry.

8.       They are complete “power plants” in themselves and hardly any additional electrical protection or metering is needed.

9.       They have a very high tolerance to phase imbalance or single phasing – each phase can be loaded from almost “0” to 100% independent of the other phases.

10.   They can be easily installed and commissioned – all in the space of a few hours if the front is ready.

 Various Model

C30 C65 C200 C600/800/1000

There are 3 basic models C30, C65 and C200. The model number specifies the power output in ISO conditions. For example, a C200 model shall deliver a power output of 200 Kw under ISO Conditions and at site conditions, would deliver a reduced power output (say around 160-170 Kwe depending on the site conditions). The C200 can be offered in modular package in terms of C600, C800 & C100 which consist of 3, 4 and 5 nos of C200 packages in a standard ISO container.

Fuels

Capstone MicroTurbines have different models to operate on various gaseous and liquid fuels

Gaseous Fuels

1.       Pipeline Natural Gas                   Flare Gas                      Biogas

      Landfill gas                                Propone

Liquid Fuels

1.       Diesel                                        Petrol                          Kerosene

Applications

1.Stand alone/ Grid Connect Power:
Derived through advanced engineering based on proven turbine design, microturbines represent a watershed energy management solution. Transforming the way businesses think about energy production, Capstone solutions reduce energy costs, ensure power availability and help preserve the environment with its near-zero emissions profile. Unlike traditional back-up power, Capstone solutions support everyday energy needs and generate favorable payback - today.

2.CHP Capstone CHP systems conserve energy and cut operational costs by creating two forms of energy: electricity and heat.

3.CCHP The heat output of Capstone MicroTurbines can be used to both heat and air condition your facility via absorption cooling.

4.Secure Power Capstone MicroTurbines can operate connected to a utility grid or provide stand alone power to critical loads.

5.Resource Recovery: Biogas Capstone MicroTurbines can cleanly burn waste gases to create renewable power and heat.

6.Resource Recovery: Oil and Gas Capstone MicroTurbines reliably power onshore and offshore operations using unprocessed wellhead gas.
